week 11

thanks to last week's reminder :) i will insert a swimming section somewhere and yeah yay

we're blogging on tuesday because i dont know why lol im in chem class and my teacher is lecturing regarding how to obtain the empirical formula from mass percentages :clown: anyways and hence i cant rly focus on anything too productive but id rather just use this time to do something.

overall important events include aves, the azerbaijan grand prix, the indycar finale, the carabao cup matches, and the singapore grand prix. bah why are these all sport hahahah school's been just fine. oh i guess i could talk about internship stuffff

1-college applications

im actually so cooked for physics (haven't solved a qotd in like the last week) but tbh idc anymore bc the difficulties are getting much higher now :sob:

tbh i dont got a lot to write about in this section (ohmygod ive just realised how poor of a choice i made to write the blog in school bc my brain generally just lacks 20% of power)

as for who was at fault for the incident imo it's js 5050 LOL

well ferrari trolled hella in singapore :( and red bull were surprisingly slay! i really love the mclaren livery and like i really hope next year their livery has some of the white elements loll

in terms of indycar, im actually very intrigued by sargeant's test. i really hope he does well and i can foresee meyer shank gaining a lot of fans if they sign him LMAO

also like penske is the most troll team bro skull its like f1 teams being unable to connect the drink system correctly every other race bro but even worse bc its a title decider sob

congrats to palou and foster :)) entirely deserved

but palou--or rather, ganassi--'s form on ovals is truly worrying for next year. bro is going to have significant issues for his title defense. and tbh in the second half of the year everyone was pretty competitive (cough cough herta) so next yr should be ultra exciting!!

anyways in terms of swimming im able to now consistently do 25 yds with the correct breathing tactic (swapping sides and every 3 strokes). i think doing the every 2 strokes at the start is really hurting me bc its alr a habit and its kinda hard to change, although this might also be down to the fact that i have WAY too little experience practicing rotating my shoulders when the next stroke is not a breathing stroke. it just kind of feels weird and extra to me and i need to find a better balance for that....

anyways hopefully i can gradually develop enough stamina to be able to consistently do 50 yds within the next month...

6-gaming

i haven't really played many games but this weekend i had spent like 5? hours on football manager setting up the off-season. so i signed a few players before the break but i kind of regret signing one of the left backs rn bc his salary is hella high and he's not much better than my current left back and im kinda scared of playing him bc hes preventing my guy from developing but i still need him for squad rotation but he'll get unhappy because his salary aint matchin his playing time 💀💀💀 truly difficult

well anyways ive realised that we're in SIGNIFICANT LACKING OF WINGERS and so i started to experiment with a narrow vertical tiki taka formation with a diamond central arrangement instead of my gegenpress 4-2-3-1. rn i think my wingers can't take the match intensity in mid season and i have multiple good CAMs so im probably gonna try to develop that tactic more bro

7-school stuffs

so scioly and sciclub have commenced and these are really the only clubs that i go to usually--with the exception of quizbowl (now trivia club) (i still dont know how meetings r gonna work entirely)

and i felt like the uhh turnout for both clubs were slightly suboptimal and i was kind of surprised that sciclub still got 20 or so people with rsf having like 50-60. anyways i really hope more people will come to the scibowl intro meeting this friday as that's honestly just the flagship program here LOL

8-scibowl

soooo aves. and it is 11:39 so i actually have no time to keep writing this because my tablemates have been saying DEMURE and WE CAN GO ... and OPIUM and DIABOLIC and other words that i decided to convince them to ban at our table SKULL so ill come back after lunch or during lunch to write the aves reflection section oops

okay so im at lunch but there are three minutes left so its cooked once again. i might finish during uhhhhhhh idk? psych? or internship if i dont get it done

so. i feel like the different vibe that i got from aves this years was that we had energy and momentum when playing (wtf)

ok that was too cheesy so ill just write this section in chinese bc im more comfortable oops

今年初的时候我每次打比赛都会感觉很不稳，就非常的shaky，every single buzz would feel like 万众瞩目的final一样的. 可能是我自己给自己施加的压力，也可能就是各种--对自己的和对队友的--不恰当的预期. 总之现在我感觉--至少对于我自己来说--现在我打比赛有了更多的精气神，至少在medium difficulty (regs de/early nats de)的时候我都有信心去拿捏大部分物理题的buzzpoint. even then i still feel like 我的bonus conversion 现在还是在early de / late regs de时我最大的弱点. and i feel like this was also an issue in rr like physics cumulatively was our teams worst subject in rr (by 1 point but still)

anyways and this leads to me realising something else by myself: 我在rr的思维模式是try to get 100% phys points, 这便形成了（像以前一样的）压力和预期. 然而，with chem我就没有对自己的这种要求，而到底我的化学分数还比物理分数要高。。。sighs 所以我希望对自己要宽松点，让自己的潜力更好地发挥出来. we'll see what happens in icsbt!

in terms of my teammates im not rly in a place to comment but its coming along rly well so far!! i like what ive seen so far :) hopefully the weight of pressure doesnt come back...

oh ! in other events we're gunna introduce scibowl to freshmen this week!! wait i think i alr said that in section 7 but WHATEVER YAY IM KINDA EXCITED BUT IF PEOPLE DONT COME IM GONNA CRY AAA

ive been looping motion sickness and its piano versions and more piano in calvert when writing recently. very cool tbh. but also ive noticed with the ms piano vers im less able to concentrate bc my mind automatically jumps to the lyrics oops
