once again here on a saturday which is good but it has been an utterly terrible saturday in terms of productivity. anyways... at this race i would literally be able to sleep to the snoozefest that happens to be the 6 Hours of Safety Car...:'( either way yeah my academic pursuits of the 2023-24 school year have all but concluded and now its time to properly get ready for summer and further

1-college apps

so ive started writing my commonapp essay / personal statement ig and ive grasped onto a concept that i really want to work on to make good because it gives context to like what parts of the rest of the application cant possibly cover but yeah its still a bit rough and def has parts that are not good enough but i think i see a way forward so thats nice at least (it's also awkwardly over the word limit so :skull: thats also a thing i need to work on)

ive also gathered four other main concepts that i would like to use for my supplementals so when i move my mind off like the commonapp one i can think about these more!

also got ghosted by the prof from the last post :skull: the senior told me to be patient though so currently running on some high copium

2-competitive stem olympiads

not much, but i guess from an unnamed person's experiences atkins would be pretty fast to finish if i set my mind to it so now i just need to actually do that and not troll LOL which ik wont be easy but i need to try to do it hopefully and not spend too much time on other things that may or may not also be on this blog...

3-formula 1

not much on this front lol for once it's relatively quiet although many drivers are competing in...

4-other sports

so yeah after watching both of the two prior events of the motorsports triple crown, i now am here to watch le mans. and to be honest i think each one gets better: the monaco grand prix, although glamourous and all, is still of basically the same scope as the rest of the season and honestly is not just boring but also its focus isnt on the race day but on quali day, so that dims somewhat the importance of race day...

the indy 500 is a completely different atmosphere in part because of the raw emphasis on speed and the oval. the amount of overtakes and the pure speed that the race offers is simply unrivaled and honestly the winning celebrations are much better than monaco. like whats better than newgarden literally jumping into the crowd and pouring milk?? LOL

also the buildup to the race is completely bonkers. like the entire month is based on the track (in its different guises) literally

and finally le mans... although on track the buildup isnt too insane like indy, the atmosphere around this entire town that is dedicatd to motorsport and welcomes fans far beyond its capacity is crazy. besides from that, the sheer number of entries and the number of variation in like the various classes is just insane. anyways night racing is also just completely a different vibe and absolutely crazy. the amount of unhingedness that happens and the sheer beauty of slow mo cameras and fireworks that the tv direction so meticulously chooses to show just enhances the experience so much. also the fact that i dont have to watch it illegally :) i said nothing

one thing thats fs is that all three events' cars look so beautiful each in their own way :)

also i noticed one thing that makes indy and le man significantly more interesting than f1 is the factor of fuel strategy lol

either way onto the actual race the entire field except toyota is actually throwing lmao :skull: but ig its so hard to make good strategy and its also like so hard to tell whether they're in a good position or not rn lol there's still 8 hours to go lolll

also, the safety car procedure especially at night is absolutely torturous like hello yeah it is at night but do you for real gotta keep people under sc for 1.5 hours in the day and 4.5 hours at night :( ik theres rain but....:(

anyways yeah we're writing this right as the green flag waves and even though i know the toyotas probably have the upper hand im still rooting for the 83 to hopefully make some inroads and the 6 to cook up some fire overtakes!! go 83 pls at least get a podium! a toyota-6-83 podium would be awesome

5-gaming

cooking in asphalt 9 gp cause im somehow up to 3rd overall after putting in two awesome laps in the past 2 rounds to climb back up after p7 in round 1. 2 more rounds left and 20 points i think? to p2 but we're guaranteed the key so yeahhh yay hopefully i keep p3 at the very leastt.

not much otherwise in terms of brawl stars. just still doing my thing

6-school stuffs/clubs

so not much but yeah let's talk about my final projects i guess

i think i talked about my history project being about flight simulators in liek week 04 or something so i wont talk about that again

for apcs i did it on radix economy and logic gates which is an uncanny combination but if you really think about it..... nah jk lol its an awk combination and only here because i had to best have a coding portion to the project as well as a presentation portion LOL so yeah i actually loved learning about weird bases like e and negative numbers and imaginary numbers...

for french my grade is actually in danger cause wtf are the quizzes we've been getting :Sob: but hopefully i have clutched with my final LOL ughhh im actually soooo screwed :sob: also i need to learn like the stuff i missed (i think ive said this before but whatever...)

for physics we basically tested our trebuchet and honestly it was quite nice :) even though nowhere near the consistency we needed and definitely not the best in our class, i still think we did an incredible job for the traditional, unrisky concept that we adopted lol. the downwards launch angle really go crazy i dunno how the other group did it with such HIGH precision :Sob:
