1. College Applications
well honestly not much happened in this regard the last week besides from me realising that commonapp prompts had been released already (and are the same ones) (yes im like so behind riprip). either way i think my parents will make me do some research regarding matches and safeties probably to iron out a list. apparently ~20 is fine as a list? and currently ihnc if i should even be applying to more than 7 reaches (that's 1/3 basically). im not sure either re: amount of safeties.. even though i cant and wont list UW as a safety, currently my criteria for safeties are basically like are they approximately equal to UW. and there's not many attractive options that i know of.. perhaps this is where some research comes in
also im somewhat interested in what our english class can cook re: essay writing LOL
2. Competitive STEM Olympiads
not much really except for meeting more and more campers/higher medalists at mnsbt rip
im also probably going to take a bc course re: multivar / vector calc just because i actually need the math... my lack of math is not real rn :skull:
also im likely going to grind chemistry oly next year for fun along with obviously physics but ill see how much effort i actually put into that...

in my very very honest opinion, imola is a very very very unsuitable track for modern f1. you just can't have good, lengthy side-by-sides in high-speed sector 1. imo they either gotta add drs on the straight before ravazza and/or make it wider so that onto the main straight there is actually a decent amount of action. the key issue with imola is that before the low speed corners, the straights are way too short. you just can't stay sidebyside through high-speeds and then get enough of an overspeed on a short straight to make moves.
also, flood bad :joy: although rip to the people who were affected :(
either way, that's not an issue for f2 and f3; chaos is. i think they oughta extend the length of f2 and especially f3 races, not only because it's obviously not helpful when at least 1/3 of the race is under yellows/sc but also that long races allow for more racing in general which basically increases the examination on the entire, 30 car (crazy) grid
re: f3, ive been watching goethe since like euroformula open in 2022 and i kind of hope he does well :)
now for f2..

quite a boring race honestly for reasons mentioned above about imola... there wasn't even that might strategy in this race which is plain terrible. realistically it actually should be removed but somehow senna's legacy is overpowering fia's greed which is..rare i guess and ofc senna sempre :pray:

so i put f2/f3 into the f1 category because they're literally so related, but indycar has to be here
i don't know like what mph stands for so i wasnt surprised when i saw lots of like 230s in indy quali but hoelee that is insanely fast... and i guess the whole buildup to indy is just crazy, including the quali format
i am writing this sentence at almost exactly the halfway point of fast 12 quali and i haven't looked at it yet... but go mclaren !!!

5. gaming
not much gaming this week cause ib and something else (later) but i got cordelius to 750. i think ive officially kind of understood how to play it now and its kinda nice. also im bringing colette up to 500 now cause i realise i play colette better in 3v3s/open maps and cordelius better in solo/duo/closed, walled maps so i better have two hand preparation

6. school stuffs / clubs
so of course ib has ended !!!!!
i took just two (one) tests this week:
on thursday afternoon i took the french paper 1 writing and paper 2 reading sections, which i actually found kind of interesting. like reading was better than writing and imma like use ib predict rn rq to like get some projected scores after i write this section... also reading was interesting cause they have real texts and i learned about lome taxi in togo and tekki the guyanese musician!! listening to his stuff as i write LOLOL
on friday morning i concluded my ib career with the french paper 2 listening exam which honestly was the most trivial thing... although im stupid so i uh made a last minute incorrect selection :skull: lowkey i prob scored better on reading than the phys paper 1 mc ripp (both are out of 40)
either way this is a self-reminder to write my scioly officer application ripp
and to figure out bc course
and to further market merch cause i am determined to get it done this yr !!! even if it means ill have to distribute some of it next year..
also also i need to figure out what to do for chem(petitive physics) club
also im kind of apprehensive of how my history project will turn out.... rip ihnc how i can make them make decisions in-flight without spending a lot of effort

alright alright we've finally gotten to it! i mean i can be satisfied slightly with mnsbt because i felt like i made kind of a personal breakthrough with my buzzing. like at medium difficulties i was able to step into yolo mode and make a few absurd buzzes work due to gamesense. also most notably i only ever got one really terrible neg (qgp / confinement) and the other neg was a chem in rr and a math in de i think so not terrible at all for me. iirc my ppg went 24 -> 4 -> 16 -> 24 // 12 -> 4 -> 4 -> 0 which isnt ideal (esp de where i started negging) but not terrible.? i think in de i got net 5 phys 3 math 1 chem which is :skull: but wtv
i realised there's always like this one elims round where i pop off on math? kind of weird and that round i do not pop on phys. very weird
either way... a decent sendoff for the seniors :")
also, considering that the top 8 teams contained 2 from pnnl regs, 4 from sandia regs (in ca), and another 1 from slac (in ca) doe has to like do something about like sandia bro :skull: the competitiveness is not real actually
in terms of our team next year, im legitimately very excited as ive witnessed firsthand (cough amador) how far a math-bio combination can go just like that, not to say if augmented with better phys and ess in other players. but also idk the effect on individual confidence when like resopnsibility is spread out... the kids are all very natural buzzers, its like the more i play the more i kind of see some natural ability to push into the yolo mode naturally in some players and i think they (along with vishnu and ananya) have that. ;")
hopefully i can get some youngsters to scrim some time before the year ends :) and potentially participate in nisky?
